KAROO TO COAST 2010

In September 2010 we were contracted to supply the "live" entertainment for the race day at the finish grounds, Knysna Primary School, for the annual Karoo to Coast Cycle race. There were approximately 3000 people expected, and we provided a stage, sound system and stage set-up for a music group to perform on. The two artists, Tigger Reunert and Lionel Bastos performed to an outdoor audience, and played through a QUEST QSA 400 loudspeaker system, supplemented by QMotion Sub bass.

KNYSNA ON STAGE 2010

AV Design provided the stage and sound system for the outdoor concert, Knysna on Stage, that took place at Loerie Park, September 2010. The main system comprised a QUEST QSA400 / QS500 loudspeaker system with QUEST QMotion Sub bass units. FOH mixer is a Soundcraft mixer with Lexicon effects and DBX processing. SOCCER WORLD CUP 2010

During the World Cup, we erected video screens in public places, from an outdoor screen at the Waterfront to numerous indoor screens and plasma TV's in pubs and restaurants

KNYSNA HILLCLIMB 2009 - SIMOLA

For the inaugural Knysna Hillclimb in 2009, AV Design provided a public address sound system for the motor vehicle race up Simola hill. The task was very challenging as the total distance between the various public viewing areas was approximately 2km, which meant long cable runs and the potential for signal loss. The five public viewing areas were supplied with sound from QUEST QS and QSA series loudspeakers rigged on 3m high scaffolding towers spread out along the route. Line level signal was run between the towers with absolutely no signal or quality loss over the distances.
